IDA Issues $550 Million in Bonds to Banner
For the second year in a row, the Maricopa IDA agreed to issue bonds on behalf of Banner Health. The financing of up to $550 million will be used to construct, furnish and equip two new patient and clinical towers and to make related campus improvements and capital expenditures, one at the Banner University Medical Center, in Phoenix and a second at the Banner University Medical Center, in Tucson.
Banner Health is the second largest private employer in the state and a significant economic driver for the county.
